  2. How familiar are you with the Coton de Tulear breed?

  3. What do you think is the most important quality of the Coton?

  4. Do you desire a family pet or are you considering showing your Coton?

  5. Are you aware that in order to protect the small gene pool of this rare breed it is recommended that breeding pairs are health checked prior to breeding?

  6. Do you know the various health tests that the parents go through prior to breeding?  Which ones are required as a Code of Ethics breeder? 

  7. Are you interested in protecting this breed from puppy mills?

  8. If you are interested in becoming a responsible breeder, are you aware of the commitment required?

  9. Do you prefer male or female?

  10. Do you know the general difference in male personality and female personality?

  11. Do you have other pets in your home?

  12. Do you have the time to commit to a very loyal dog...the Coton?

  13. Are you interested in maintaining the coat or are you interested in a "puppy cut"?

  14. Are you able to provide proper veterinarian care for your dog?

  15. If you have children, are they taught to respect pets?

  16. If you are desiring a fantastic companion for retirement, did you know that Cotons make great travelers on planes and cars?

  17. Are you familiar with the American Rare Breed Association (ARBA)?

  18. Are you familiar with the United States of America Coton de Tulear Club (USACTC)?

  19. Did you know that the American Kennel Club has recently approved USACTC as the Parent Breed Club of the Coton as it starts its transition to being recognized by AKC?

  20. Have you researched the proper way to crate train a puppy?

  21. Are you interested in a puppy or an adult Coton?

  22. Did you know that the Coton de Tulear is a wonderful breed that has no dander and does not shed?

  23. Did you know that the Coton is a fantastic entertainer with funny antics and is nicknamed the 'Clown Dog'?

  24. Did you know that this breed seems to love to dress up?.........it is true that they get a kick out of wearing clothes...
